This Privacy Policy explains how AskOracle handles information when you ask questions, receive responses, save content, or share generated cards in the app.

1. Information We Collect

Microphone and Speech Recognition

AskOracle lets you ask questions using your device microphone. When you choose to use voice input, the app requests microphone and speech recognition permission so your spoken question can be converted into text.

Voice input is optional. You can use the app without voice input by typing your question instead, where available.

Speech recognition may be processed by Apple speech recognition services depending on your device, language, and system settings. We do not sell your audio, spoken questions, or transcriptions, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles.

Questions, Responses, and Saved Content

The app may store your recent questions, generated responses, saved content, theme preferences, and share card style preferences locally on your device so the app can function properly and preserve your experience.

This information is stored on-device unless you explicitly share content yourself.

Shared Content

AskOracle allows you to generate and share response cards based on your questions. These cards are created on your device. If you choose to share them using another app or service, that sharing is handled by the destination you select, and their privacy practices will apply.

In-App Purchases

The app offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock premium features.

All payments are processed securely through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. The app may use purchase status provided by the App Store to unlock or restore premium access.

Device and App Functionality Data

The app may use limited device-level information required for core functionality, such as language, operating system version, and app settings. This is used only to operate the app and improve compatibility and usability.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used to:

  • Process spoken questions and convert speech to text
  • Generate and display app responses
  • Save question history, responses, saved content, and user preferences on-device
  • Enable premium purchases and restore purchases
  • Support app functionality, stability, and compatibility

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not operate our own advertising network.

Some app features rely on Apple services, such as App Store purchase processing and speech recognition functionality. Information required for those services may be processed by Apple according to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.

If you choose to share a generated response card through another app or platform, the information you share is handled by the service you select.

4. Advertising and Tracking

AskOracle does not contain third-party advertising and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

The app may rely on Apple services for speech recognition and in-app purchases.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

AskOracle is designed to store question history, generated responses, saved content, and preferences locally on your device. This data remains on your device unless you delete it in the app, remove the app, or clear the data through your device settings.

If you contact us about deletion or privacy questions, we will review your request. Because most AskOracle data is stored locally on your device, we may not be able to access or delete that on-device data for you.

Purchase records may be retained by Apple as part of App Store transaction history.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will review the issue.

8. Your Choices

You can control certain permissions and data through your device settings, including:

  • Microphone access
  • Speech recognition access
  • Sharing permissions, if applicable

You can also manage and restore purchases through Apple’s App Store systems.
